Faculty of Mathematics

The Faculty of Mathematics officially commenced its activities in May 2004 as one of the academic departments of the Faculty of Basic Sciences at Shiraz University of Technology, with the aim of engaging in various applied fields required by society. In pursuit of advancing mathematics at a high level and expanding the frontiers of knowledge, the Faculty established a Master’s degree program from its very inception. Furthermore, to promote fundamental research and to help meet the need for qualified faculty members at universities across the country, the Faculty began admitting doctoral students in Mathematics in February 2011.
