The Faculty of Physics at Shiraz University of Technology commenced its activities in 2004. The faculty’s educational and research activities are structured around 3 branches: Photonics, Atomic-Molecular Physics, and Solid-State Physics. The faculty began admitting M.Sc. students in Photonics-Physics in September 2010, Atomic-Molecular Physics in February 2014, and Condensed Matter Physics in February 2017. Furthermore, it started admitting Ph.D. students in Photonics in September 2022. Promoting and executing industry-linked projects is a key objective of the faculty. Currently, the Faculty of Physics consists of 7 faculty members, including 1 Professor and 6 Associate Professors.
